I am a 61 year old female. Have good health no medications but am overweight. I have a large 8cmx4cmx3cm Intramuscular Lipoma in my upper arm. It is affecting my mobility a bit. My DR. told me I do not have to do anything about it and just to let it go. That is not what I am finding to in my research. I have found they are rare and I should be removed. I have made an appointment with another doctor for a second opinion. I just wondered if iIam approaching this correctly?

Answer: Reccomend seeking consulation with a plastic surgeon to get the best results

Lipomas are benign fatty tumors that occur under the skin and less commonly within the muscle. They are associated with mild discomfort and a lump underneath the skin. It is always best to talk to an expert plastic surgeon to determine whether the lipoma is possibly a cyst or a tumor or hernia....
