Total FX: Is it possible that the eyes could not be treated? For thin skin? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. Total FX can be safely used on all areas of the face, including the skin underneath the eye, when it is administered by an experienced, board-certified dermatologist. The treatment does require the use of safety goggles to protect the eyes from the laser light, and it may be that you see this area was untouched. At this point, you are still very much in the midst of your healing process. I would allow a few weeks for full healing to take place. If you are not happy with your results at that point, you can schedule a follow-up with your provider for further assessment. 

I have used Total FX thousands of times on lower eyelids with excellent results. It will do very little for upper eyelid excess skin, and most often we do an upper eyelid blepharoplasty for this problem.

This is a good question and thank you for the photos.  It is important to not judge the treatment just yet since the end results after a laser treatment take up to 6 months after treatment.  If you feel that this area needs further treatment or repeat treatment I recommend that you see your board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with cosmetic training for further treatment questions. 

I routinely treat the eyelids, both upper and lower when doing Total Fx.  My experience of 25 years with CO2 laser is that the procedure is both safe and effective when done by an expert with the proper safety considerations.  Eye shields (like contact lenses made to protect the eye from injury due to the laser) are required to treat eyelids.  Laser goggles do not permit that area to be safely reached.
