My skin is blotchy, red, and very itchy on my neck and chest area 2 full days after Clear + Brilliant treatment. Is that normal?

I had my second Clear + Brilliant treatment on Friday...they used a more aggressive approach than the first time because I did so well. Now my neck and chest area is very blotchy, itchy and red...I didn't have that after my last treatment. How long will this last??

I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care. I recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. PDT therapy can help calm inflammation. Typically I recommend adding microneedling/prp with Clear + Brilliant to improve outcomes. Best, Dr. Emer

I didn't see a photo, which would have been helpful.  The neck and chest are more sensitive than the face, and sometimes Clear + Brilliant treatment can't be escalated.  Your dermatologist may have to reduce the next treatment to the lower, initial settings.  The other cause for the rash could be that perhaps different aftercare products were used, which you could be allergic to.  Call your physician and you should be offered a free, post-op visit so that they can help you.
