Must I wait before try scalp micropigmentation to disguise hair loss from LPP & FFA? Is it safe for scarring alopecias?

Asked By:pclarktor in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Is it necessary to wait for 2-3 years of inactivity of my scarring alopecias (LPP & FFA) before I try scalp micropigmentation just like I would have to wait for this duration of 'quiet' time before attempting a hair transplant? Is there a risk that scalp micropigmentation retriggers the scarring alopecias or is it considered not too invasive and therefore safe for these conditions? Thank you for your help.
