Swelling 5 months post tummy tuck

I had full tummy tuck with muscle repair and 360 bodytite lipo 5 months ago. I still feel very tight as though I have a tight elastic band around my torso . My abdomen area feels hard to touch but it looks really good. Does this hardness mean I still have swelling ? And could the treated areas still shrink even further?

It is best to reach out to your surgeon for advice on how to proceed. An examination is needed but you may have a seroma. These are typically handled in the surgeon's office. Your surgeon will advise you based on your evaluation.

Thank you for your question. This can happen after lipo but more common after tummy tuck. It is beneficial to drain the fluid. Please talk to your PS for details.

Congratulations on your surgery! I advise my patients to wait six weeks before submerging incisions from a tummy tuck. After this time they can use a bath, pool, or swim in the ocean. It is always best though to check with your surgeon as she/he is most familiar with the details of your case...
