Revision Rhinoplasty - Cartilage shifted 13 years post op? (Photos)
I had a rhinoplasty 13 years ago. At the time, my surgeon told me I did not have enough structural cartilage in my nose, so some type of cartilage graft was used to create more support. I may not be using the correct terminology since it has been so long. Once everything healed and the swelling went down, I noticed that the graft seems to lean toward the right side of my nose (left side in the photo since the image is flipped). There is a distinct point or area of prominence that seems like it should be centered, but instead appears off to the side. I also experience a daily runny nose, but only on the right side, which is the same side the graft appears to have shifted or curved toward. Could this be related to the graft placement, warping, or structural issues from the original surgery? Would I potentially be a candidate for revision rhinoplasty, possibly using rib cartilage grafting for better support and symmetry?
