18 months post-op and ready to fix my right breast & areola position — how can I fix the difference in my breasts? (Photos)
I'm 35 and 18 months post-op. I have Mentor Smooth Round Moderate Plus 275cc implants placed submuscular, and went from a 30C to a 30DD. Overall I’m happy, but I’m concerned about the appearance of my right breast. The nipple/areola seems lower and slightly downward-pointing compared with the left, and the breast tissue looks like it may be sitting lower on the implant — this is a change from how it looked earlier on. I'd also like both areolas to sit higher, as they feel low, and both are a bit puffy/herniated. I've seen mixed results online with peri-areolar (Benelli) lifts, and I understand they mainly reduce areola size with minimal actual lift — so I'm unsure it's right for me. My questions are: • Question 1 • What's most likely going on with the right side (bottoming out, malposition, ptosis)? • Question 2 • Would a revision, lift, or areola repositioning best raise the nipple/areola? • Question 3 • Can this be corrected without exchanging the implants? • Question 4 • Is the right side likely to droop further? • Question 5 • Would both breasts need the same procedure? • Question 6 • For reducing areola size and herniation, what gives the best long-term result? • Question 7 • Or should I leave it and revisit in 10–15 years when I replace the implants? Thank you for any guidance.
