How long should you wait before you go under anesthesia if you already had a procedure?

I recommend a minimum of six weeks. It takes the body a bit of time to recoup from the anesthesia and certainly one would want recuperation from the first procedure.

If you are healthy and have good anesthesia you can repeat the anesthesia when you feel strong and ready to go.  A lot will depend on what type of procedure you had and the length of the first anesthesia.  As you prepare to recover from another procedure you want to be strong and feel healthy.You should review your heath status with your surgeon and discuss the demands of recovery and see if you are ready for the next anesthesia.Best WishesDr. Peterson
