Like most non-surgical liposuctions, i-lipo sounds good but results are poor. I would be very skeptical of any before and after pics they show you. Best to talk to a qualified plastic surgeon (I am guessing i-lipo is offered by some spa etc by someone without proper lipo experience?)
I'm not sure I know what I Lipo is. I've used a variety of technologies and find there is no particular advantage to any of them in some having significant disadvantages. Focus more of your energy on choosing a surgeon who gets consistently good results.
If you want fat removal from your calves, you can have any type of liposuction you desire. Best to be seen in person.
Unfortunately I have no experience with i lipo. I would encourage you to seek out a plastic surgeon and discuss your options with him / her. I would just caution you about treatments in spas. Many times you don't know what you're getting, the people may not, and usually are not, well trained. Typically there is not even a physical present. Over the years I have seen more errors and patients needing revision working coming from spas and the like, go slow and think twice before you choose. Dear naomilove,I have been performing energy-assisted liposuction, includingSmartLipo™, BodyTite™, VASER® lipo and water jet lipo for 20 years. In general, liposuction, especially the moremodern versions, will provide a gentle, relatively painless body contouringexperience under local anaesthesia and your results will be excellent, inwell-trained hands. However, there arealso many non-invasive, non-surgical lipo contouring technologies that do workand offer a moderate to reasonable improvement. i-Lipo™ is one such non-invasive laser-type device. Others include Zerona™, which uses multiplediode lasers that rotate above the fat; Vanquish, which uses radiofrequencywave energy; and then non-invasive contact-based technologies that use cooling, such as CoolSculpting®; ultrasound, such as UltraShape® and Liposonix®; andthen radiofrequency energy, such as BodyFX™ and TiteFX™.I have multiple technologies in my clinic andI always offer individuals like yourself the opportunity to do non-invasivetreatments. If you get the results thatyou seek, then most patients are very happy. However, you may also apply the money you spent against the non-invasivetreatments against the more definitive, modern energy-assisted lipoplastytechnologies, such as SmartLipo™, BodyTite™ and VASERLipo™. The body contouring arena has become veryspecialized and it is very important you seek multiple consultations in orderthat you don’t feel disappointed with your results. Sometimes the non-invasive treatments soundexcellent, but the results can be less impressive and sometimes thenon-invasive treatments are exactly what is required. For more information, please review the link below.I hope this information has been of some assistance and bestof luck. Without photos it is difficult to be specific. However my guess is your skin will not shrink well and the liposuction may make the skin look worse, as shrinking and tightening will be a problem.Good LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
Usually this small an incision will close by itself by wound contraction. You must keep it clean and wash daily with an antibacterial soap, apply triple antibiotic ointment and a band aid. stop the antibiotic ointment after one week, because some people become allergic and develop a rash...
