I can feel my internal sutures Trying to poke out through my skin. Is this normal? (photo)

Great question!  Most likely the sutures just under the skin are dissolvable and will go away once it is broken down by the body.  If it erodes through the skin or causes other issues, then you should go see your plastic surgeon to have it removed.Best of luck and hope this information helps!

Thanks so much for your photo and great question. It is not uncommon for a suture to make it's way through the skin post surgery.  A "pimple" like irritation may form, redness or even perhaps discomfort. Feel free to contact your surgeon's office to have them remove or perhaps snip flush to the skin in order to avoid further complication such as minor skin infections.  All the best!!

Unfortunately, suture related problems do occur after breast lifting or reduction surgery.   It is likely that the suture utilized is absorbable and will not be a problem for much longer. If however the suture comes to the surface and/or causes you discomfort, your plastic surgeon will be able to remove it for you. Best wishes.
