As the reshaping process of the breast mound settles within time, the overall shape of the breast is going to change a lot. At this early stage of your healing, it's quite normal for you to see these dents-asymmetries-poor scars etc. This concern can be clinically important if it still persists after a year.

A dent or indentation under the breast one-month post-op from a breast lift with implants can be concerning, but it's not necessarily uncommon. There are several possible reasons for this:

2. Implant Positioning: The dent could be related to the positioning of the breast implant or the way the breast tissue has settled around it. As the tissues continue to adjust and settle, this indentation may improve.
3. Capsular Contracture: Although less likely early in the post-operative period, capsular contracture is a condition where the scar tissue around the breast implant becomes thickened and can cause changes in breast shape, including dents or deformities.
4. Surgical Technique: Occasionally, dents or irregularities can occur due to the surgical technique used during the breast lift or implant placement. If the pocket created for the implant is not precisely matched to the implant size or shape, it could lead to contour irregularities.
5. Tissue Laxity: Depending on the extent of breast ptosis (sagging) before surgery and the amount of skin removed during the breast lift, there may be variations in tissue tension and support that can contribute to dents or irregularities.
It's essential to discuss any concerns about post-operative changes with your plastic surgeon. They can evaluate the area, determine the cause of the indentation, and provide appropriate recommendations. In many cases, minor irregularities may improve over time as swelling resolves and the tissues settle.
