What should I do to heal these pimples after fue? (photo)

Question

Hi, i have a fue procedure done almost 3.5 months ago and now have some pimples. One is black, what should i do? Should i make a hole and try to drain the fluid? I shampoo everyday and try to keep it as clean as possible. I apply minoxidil once a day but try to stay around the pimples. Thank you.

Pimples post op are typically caused by ingrown hairs.  This is also called folliculitis and can be treated with acne medication

It is fairly common to have pimples after your surgery. The best treatment is a warm compress on the area for 10 minutes twice a day. If the pimples persist I suggest an appointment with your doctor to see if they are infected. Good luck to you.

This is not uncommon when the transplanted follicles start to grow.  A warm compress (like a washcloth soaked in warm water for 10 minutes a few times a day should improve things.  If not, or if they're large and painful, give your surgeon a call and go in to have them drained.

Pimples after hair transplant can occur. They can be treated with acne medication doxycycline and sometimes need to be treated with steroids as well.
