Why is my right breast turning purple? (Photo)

I had a Breast reduction 2 weeks ago. After I got my bandages taken off I noticed that my right breast was very swollen and had a few bruises. As days went by the swollen started to go down slowly, however under my breast has turned a dark purple colour. Could that be a sign of an infection or something?

Thank you for your questionThe color of your nipple can be a sign that you have some issue with the venous drainage of the breast. I suggest you contact your surgeon and book a appointment to make sure there is not a hematoma (accumulation of blood) doing compression of your nipple. In the meantime please keep it clean and you can add a thin layer of polysporin.Best Wishes,
