The bottom tip of my nose hangs down to the point of sometimes getting food on it when I eat. Is there a simple way to just remove excess skin and how much would this cost approx.?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, Thank you for your post. If the tip of your nose is the only thing that is bothering you most of the time that can be corrected with a tip-plasty. I would consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what the best option would be for you.

Answer: Columellar hand This can be treated in most patients with local anesthesia if you wish, or if you prefer general anesthesia can be used to have you completely asleep. Costs of plastic surgery depend on the location, how expensive your area is in general, and also the reputation and experience of your plastic surgeon. You can call a few surgeon offices in the area, and most should be able to give you a cost estimate (or a reasonable range) for what you're looking for. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search. In our practice, this would cost approximately $4500 when done in our offices, but $1100 if you choose to be put to sleep completely. I hope this helps.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. You may also benefit from a cephalic rotation of your tip to turn up your tip slightly. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Hanging nasal tip That tissue is cartilage that would have to be modified to reduce the hanging appearance. Technically, it would require a minor rhinoplasy. Make sure you see a rhinoplasy expert.

Answer: Rhinoplasty in Canada The tip of your nose is not just comprised of skin, but of cartilage. It is the cartilage under the skin that is causing your nose to "droop." If this is the only issue that you dislike about your nose, you can have a tip-plasty which would address the excess cartilage that makes your nose look droopy. (The skin over the cartilage will shrink when the excess cartilage is removed.) I suggest you find a board certified plastic surgeon with years of experience in rhinoplasty surgery to help you with your issues. Check his or her reviews, his or her before-and-after photos, and make sure the surgeon specializes in rhinoplasty.
