Am I too young for blepharoplasty? I have just tried tear trough filler which made me really unhappy.

I think you would be an excellent candidate for a blepharoplasty that would translocate some of the herniated fat from the lower lid into the areas of deficiency where you receive filler. This would obviate the need for any filler in the future.

it does appear from your photographs that you have what is called congenital fat pseudoherniation of the lower eyelids. That explains the puffiness of your lower eyelids. You would be an excellent candidate for the transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty. This procedure is done through an incision behind your eyelid where the excess fat is removed and the tissue that holds the fat back called the septum is tightened. This will result in a permanent correction without any scarring. I have personally done the procedure on patients as young as 19 who inherited it from their mother and/or father. I would recommend that over fillers which is temporary and in some patient can make the puffiness appear worse. Good luck in your area.

I do believe that you would benefit from removal of those fat pads Underneath your eyelids. Please consult with a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon. These are the individuals with the most experience In facial surgery. 

You are not too young. As long as there is fat under the lower eyelids it can be removed. It will give you the relaxed and fresh look that you need. RegardsDr. Janjua

There is no age restriction for lower blepharoplasty. I have performed transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty in patients as young as 20 years old. It all has to do when the patient is ready. See following link and video.

There is a big problem with you having lower eyelid surgery. Your lower eyelid bag is not caused by herniated orbital fat.  Put your finger on the top of your bag.  What you are feeling is your orbital rim.  Lower eyelid surgery does not change the orbital rim.  Grafted fat is often now placed into the cheek by well meaning surgeons.  This procedure is highly unpredictable and causes scaring of the lower eyelid.  At age 26, you will be wrecked by this surgery.  Fillers are the right way to go but you need to have the filler service done correctly.  The current filler is not artfully placed and it is the wrong product as noted.  I my opinion, a lot of the marketing material around Redensity is smoke to describe what is basically a runny filler product.  I very much prefer Restylane for this location.  It is fussy to put in but it holds where it is placed.  Now here is the bad news, I see many patients in my Beverly Hills practice from all over the world for filler service.  That means they are not finding the right service at home.  That is a shame because this is a common service that requries uncommon skill to place correctly.  Do not have surgery.  You will regret that choice.

I am not familiar with the filler that was used.  Hopefully you can return to your injector and get it dissolved if it still does not look better in the next week or so once swelling goes down.  You are not too young for surgery.  Your condition does appear to be gentic not age related.  Please see a qualified surgeon that does a lot of blepharoplasty surgeries!! Thank you for your question and photos.  Based on your photos, you would be a good candidate for a transconjunctival blepharoplasty.  Through an incision behind the lid, the lower lid fat can be repositioned and the ligament causing the depression can be released, giving the lower eyelid a much smoother appearance.  If you would like to learn more, I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with blepharoplasty.

You will have to wait till filler distortion is gone to have surgery.  Fillers add to bags and make them worse. That is not treatment for eyelid bags.  Surgery is.
