I had Vaser liposuction about a year ago and I was left with these Indentations back waist. they look like a shark bite and my buttocks look too full. Can it be corrected? Thank you
Answer: Abdominoplasty and Vaser Liposuction Hi, I have reviewed your pictures and I can say yes if you do not like the shape that the surgeon has given you with this operation, it can be resolved by another procedure-I would say it would be a combination of Abdominoplasty and Vaser Liposuction. The next appropriate step would be to consider some type of liposuction in the hip gluteal area and possibly into the outer upper thighs.

Answer: Suggestions For You - How to Fix Post-Operative Indentations Thank you for your question regarding too much fat taken out from your back and waist during VASER liposuction. Also, thank you for your pictures. Let's analyze the problem. According to your wishes, you want more volume restored to your waist and you want less volume to the buttocks. Therefore, if you want to add volume, there is one way. This would be fat transfer. I would suggest fat be harvested from parts of your body and transferred to areas you want filled. For your buttocks, if you consider them look "too full", I would suggest conservative liposuction. It is possible, too, that some of the fat be taken from the buttock, then transferred to the indentations in your back waist. Thank you for your question regarding how to fix your back and waist after too much fat was taken from these areas during VASER liposuction. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Revision BBL Inadequate placement of fat grafting resulted in your appearance. The absence of smooth transitions from your buttocks to your torso are what are contributing to your "shark bite" appearance. Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a revision Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Aggressive Liposuction It appears your procedure was aggressive and it’s nature. Your contour problem isn’t so much related to aggressive Liposuction though it was heavy-handed as it is the transition zone is incorrect. The transition from waist to buttocks is not smooth and this needs to be corrected. This is best done using Revision Liposuction lowering the transition point. Did you have fat transfer to your buttocks? The fullness is also at the same point where your tummy tuck scar ends. There may be some skin laxity or dogeared formation that is contributing to the fullness and lack of smooth transition. When I do body contouring I am constantly trying to achieve a smooth continuous S-curve from the shoulder to the knee. It would behoove plastic surgeons to view body contouring this way and see the forest rather than focusing on the trees. It’s not possible to put fat back in to your waist but the transition zone to your buttocks can be improved and shouldn’t be that difficult by someone who gets fundamental concepts of body contouring and views ideal bodies as having a smooth continuous S-curve.
