My under eyes are starting to look very tired. I’m considering filler or lower eye lid blepharoplasty. Which would I be a better candidate for? Is there a different treatment that would work better for me? Thank you.

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty for under eye fat bags I would recommend scarless transconjuntival lower blepharoplasty rather than filler injection for best long term improvement. See an expert for evaluation.

Answer: Start with filler... Depending on your age, which in this picture you look young with good skin tone, you should be able to have filler placed to soften the hollowness you're seeing, As we age, the ligaments in the face start to get lax and the "puffiness" under the eyes gets worse along with sagging skin from decreased elasticity and that is when a lower blepharoplasty would be considered to remove the protruding fat (puffiness) and remove any excess sagging skin. However, you appear to have great skin, so I would recommend starting with filler and recommend seeing a board eligible/board certified plastic surgeon or an aesthetician in a plastic surgeons office.
