Tiny Bumps After Fraxel? (photo)

Question

I had fraxel 1550 abit over 2weeks ago. Around the 4th day after the procedure I developed tiny little bumps ever where hundreds of them you can only see in some lighting but to touch skin feel very rough and bumpy. I told my docter and has put me on a steroid tablet for 3days and am on Keflex antibiotic in case of any infection. Nothing has resolved yet I'm very worried and wanting some advice on what it could be or what I can do.

If you are very worried, you should see the doctor that performed the treatment on your skin, however, this is not an unusual response after Fraxel laser treatment. Everyone heals at a slightly different rate, so I wouldn't worry much at this point. In certain light you will be able to see these minute bumps more, and they probably also feel rough to the touch. Post treatment care is very important during this healing phase, as well as making sure you wear a sunblock daily. Soon the bumps will resolve, and your skin will be smooth and improved.

It is expected to get small bumps like sandpaper after Fraxel for about the first 3-6 days or so. For deeper treatments such as for scars, there can be pimple like bumps that should soon resolve. The important thing is to keep in touch with your doctor and follow post treatment instructions.
