Thank you for your question. You are correct, this is a temporary condition, and will get better.  Carefully examine your cream and sunscreens. I have many patients who cannot tolerate sunscreen as the absorption is greater after fractional therapy, a and the skin surface is broken. Be sure to wash very thoroughly every night and morning, and the rough texture is inflammation and healing skin. The breakouts will subside. Dear Lucy2220,  The Fraxel Dual laser is a great choice for many skin complaints and tends to do wonders for texture and pigment.  I have seen patients with persistant pink tone for several weeks after treatment but this should eventually resolve.  I have also seen temporary acne flares during the 2-3 weeks post treatment timeframe.  It sounds like you are being treated appropriately for this.  Stay out of the sun and be diligent with your post treatment care and sunscreen, etc.  I'm sure you will love your results.
