I had my third treatment done on 12/ 13/ 12. This was on the lower portion of my stomach. It cost me $1200.00. I get mesured again on 3/13/13. I have lost about 11inches total of the upper abs and flanks. This latest procedure was easier, as I took 2 hydrocone 750's before having it done. I also had a designated driver. I can't wait to see how much more has been lost. Had lots of bruising which is good, as it seems the more you have the better this works. Dana from Colorado Springs. Updated on 10 Feb 2013: I have 1 more month to go before getting measured again. I can't wait. My blue jeans are fitting alot better and in some cases alot larger. I am so glad that I had this done. Now I can see the real places that I still need to work on, as the hard fat cells are gone and the flabby fat is there. I am starting to work on the sculpturing now and can already see a diference. This was a good experience, there was some pain involved but is tolerable, bruising afterwards, gives confidence in procedure in a caring atmosphere. Reduced about 1.5 niches so far, will try again. No IV's or surgery involved so less drama going on. Is motivating that fat can be removed to help on top of any excercises you are doing. Takes about 1 hour for the treatment. Helps with fat reduction. Recommend consultation. They will take measurements and pictures to help with outcomme.
I had the liposonix done on my lower abdomen 4 months ago and lost approximatley 2-3 inches in my lower abdomen. I did not have my upper abdomen done at that time because I have a lapband and there was some question if I could have the procedure done on that area. I had the procedure done on my abdomen and flanks treated this past Friday. I was given a Toradol shot, Valium and a vicodin and the procedure was painful but tolerable there were some areas on the flanks that we had to turn the settings down. Today is day three and I'm very bruised but thats ok because I know they used the highest settings. I will keep you updated on the results. Updated on 11 Dec 2012: Well it has been 12 weeks since I had my liposonix and I thought I would update my status; I had both my flanks and abdomen treated. I lost 1 inches on my flanks and 2 1/4 on my abdomen area. I would reccomend the procedure to anyone who has a problem area this is not a tool for weight loss. People have complained about it being painful it is somewhat painful but so is surgery. I would suggest talking to your Doctor that is doing the service and have them do muptiple passes at a lower setting to make it nore tolerable and also request pain meds. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I needed to do something with my skin after years of sun exposure and deterioration/aging
That was the worst experience I have ever had in a medical office. Waited over half an hour past my appointment time to be seen, was asked virtually no questions about why I was there, and the exam was an absolute joke. I was there with legitimate skin cancer concerns and all she tried to do was sell me on acne treatments. The biggest waste of time and money I have ever experienced. Cant NOT recommend enough.
I agree with my colleagues that your lack of smell and taste are likely from your septoplasty and not from the numbing cream. Sometimes if a bit of the anesthetic cream gets into your mouth, it can give a funny taste in your mouth for up to 24 hours but then resolves. The nausea is a common reaction to injections, sometimes accompanied by lightheadedness. Hope this helps.
With Asian skin types, it is very important to down regulate your natural pigment with the hydroquinone prior to the laser treatment. I would follow the advise given to you to continue treatment up until the laser treatment. If you are sensitive to the sun, you should be staying away from direct sun exposure and using a zinc oxide based sunscreen to protect your skin daily from incidental light. My advise would be to listen to YOUR doctor's advice. Hope this helps.
Botox may cause a slight pin prick sensation at the site of injection but is unlikely to have caused these other symptoms. Many people experience an involuntary reaction to the site of needles and even doctor's offices. For anxiety issues, some medication can be taken to "take the edge off" next time. I would discuss this with your doctor ahead of time.
It is normal to have some swelling after Juvederm treatment to the lips. I would give this a few more weeks to settle down and do not message as this may prolong some swelling at this point. I do think you could consider a bit more volume in the lower lip if the upper lip continues to stay enlarged. The lower lip should be the same or slightly larger than the top. Hope this helps.
Discolorations and scars on the lower extremities are some of the hardest to treat. Legs can take years to improve compared to other areas such as the trunk and face that heal relatively quickly. I suspect that the red around the scar is from the Fraxel laser and should eventually resolve. Time will tell whether the surgical scar will continue to improve or not. It sounds like you have taken appropriate steps so far.
