I have 300 cc and 255 cc (there was a big asymmetry). I am contemplating removal with or without lift. The breast where I have 300 cc was merely a nipple before (1 year ago) (and a tiny bit of breast tissue). The inframamary fold was moved down for both. Can they look better after explant then before implanting? Can I keep the present position of the folds? I am 34, had 1 child before augmentation (pregnancy and lactation didn't change the size or shape of mybreasts, only of the nipples).
Answer: Can breasts look better after implants removal? Hello @ada8823, thank you for your question. This depends on your goals and expectations There are several ways of perfoming breast implant removal. The most important thing is that you have a total capsulectomy no matter whether the implants are removed en bloc all of the capsule will be removed to avoid future autoinflammatory processes. Depending on the specialist a breast implant removal can be perform through defierent tchniques. My preference is to combine breast implant removal with immediate repositioning of the mammary tissue to address projection of the upper pole and medial areas using the BRALAN Technique (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation) since the results will be adequate and have a minimal scar in the shape of an L. Please find below a video to shed more light. If you are considering breast explantation, consultation with a plastic surgeon who is experienced in this procedure is essential to ensure optimal results. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Removal with a Lift Hello, thank you for your question. Each and every patient have different results aesthetically after surgery. Given your age, your skin would most likely recoil/fluff out after surgery—this can take up to a year to see full results. With this, I recommend to wait at least a year prior to having a breast lift after removal of breast implants. There are many risks with implant removal at the same time of a lift, including nipple necrosis and longer anesthesia times. Hope this helps!

Answer: Breast appearance From your description it sounds as if your current look is comprised mostly of the implant with very little natural breast tissue. When the implants are removed the skin will retract to a degree, but you may be left with some looseness of skin. For this reason many patients elect to get a lift when the implants are removed. An examination is needed to determine if you would be a good candidate for that procedure.

Answer: Removal If the implants make up most of your breast volume, then you will lose that volume once they are removed. Your skin has also been stretched from the implants and will sag with the excess once removed. Minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening might be helpful to your skin. Your breasts will not look like they did prior to surgery.
