Need opinion on results. I have asymmetry after explant surgery (Photo)

Hello! I am late 30’s -breastfed 3 babies and sought to “fix” my breasts 6 years ago. Regrettably, I allowed the surgeon to implant me with 425cc mentors. He said I didn’t need a lift but implants would offer the volume I was seeking. Fast forward to last year. I opted to have an explant and lift. This explant surgeon created assymentry that Inever had previously. He did not repair my muscle, even though I wanted that done. Muscle pain on right and full numbness on left. He wants $2500+ to fix.

Hello @Elizabethtwo, thank you for your question.  It' important that you ask the specialist if he performed a total capsulectomy.  That said, the result depends on the technique used by the specialist who performed the explant.  I would suggest a Breastlift with reposition of the tissues and in this way achieve an aesthetic result that is adequate with minimal scarring. I'm sorry you are unhappy with your surgery results.  From your photos there is some asymmetry depicted which would require surgery to improve.  As far as the procedures discussed versus what was performed is something you would need to speak to your surgeon about. Was it something discussed and documented on your consent forms?  Your surgery scars appear to have healed appropriately.

Following any breast reconstruction surgery, there always is some asymmetry and revisions occur in up to 30%. Your right breast is lower and larger than the left. This would need correction to make it better. The scars are normal and your result is definitely within the standard of care for this surgery. Its important to talk with your surgeon about your concerns.

The lift on one side could be tightened. You could also add some volume with fat transfer. You are mainly missing volume.
