Sagging butt and huge banana roll 3 months post Lipo of saddle bags and posterior thighs. My thighs look worse than before with lumps discoloration and banana rolls
Answer: Can my sagging butt and huge banana rolls be fixed? Thank you for your question and photos. I had to go back and view your preop photo. Unfortunately, your liposuction was done by someone who does not understand or appreciate the dynamic anatomy of the posterior thigh/buttock junction. Again from another of your posts, the side view looks even worse. This is not easy to correct!! You need fat grafting, skin tightening and shortening the buttock crease with grafting. Your surgeon gave you a long buttock crease which is the sign of an aged droopy buttock. The buttock crease should stop about the middle of the posterior thigh. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Even though you are 3 months out only, I can tell this will not get better, matter of fact will look worse as the swelling resolves. I would not recommend surgical intervention for at least another 3-4 months. Good luck with your healing.

Answer: Can my sagging butt and huge banana rolls be fixed? I would approach it in two ways: First, continue to exercise, expecially tightening your glutes and posterior thighs. Second, start using ultrasound on the banana rolls to try to breakup the scar tissue as well as improving lymphatic circulation. Third, manual massage may help break up the band creating the "roll". If these three approaches do not cure the problem, then you can proceed with secondary SAL/liposculpture...but don't rush into it. Get a game plan and work with it! Good luck!

Answer: Can my sagging butt and huge banana rolls be fixed? Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the problem that you're having is relatively common. I have developed a technique of infragluteal thigh lifting called the Del Mar Butt Tuck. Over the years, I've seen this deformity many times and have fixed it. It does require an incision along the bottom of the buttocks with removal of the redundant tissue. The scar does heal nicely and fades with time. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Liposuction results Dear eve1224,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
