2 yrs post-op lipo and my is stomach is hard, bloated and splotchy. Any ideas what caused this is or how I can fix it? (photo)

yes this is "erythema ab liposuction" this is due to poor technique and skill. I suggest RF treatments and lasers at this time and essential is VIVATIA foam with uridin body lotion at least to start (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.

Based on your results my best guess is your provider has plenty of experience and is talented.

Some people have skin that is very sensitive to minor trauma and can cause discoloration. This can happen from the cannula from liposuction even when the procedure is done correctly. It’s not very common but since it’s covering most of your torso I think your skin has a predisposition for having slight color irregularities that can be significantly aggravated by procedures like liposuction.

I suggest consulting with a few local dermatologist. IPL or laser treatments may help significantly with this.

In regards to the bulging of your abdomen I’m guessing this represents either visceral fat or if you have children then muscle separation from previous pregnancies called diastasis recti. To measure your subcutaneous fat take one finger and gently push until you feel the underlying muscle wall.

I’ve seen a few patients develop these type of skin irregularities and usually they improve but I’ve also seen them stay.
