Should I get a thigh lift or BodyTite? (Photo)

In your case surgery will give you the best result by far.  If you opt for the non-surgical approach, be sure you see plenty of "after" photos as the results are often very subtle and hard to notice.

Thank you for your question regarding whether you should have a thigh lift or BodyTite. Based on your pictures, I would strongly suggest a thigh lift. The BodyTite procedures do not give as optimal results for your thighs as a definitive thigh lift or thigh reduction. In the photos that you attached, you have excess thigh fat as well as wrinkly, crepe paper thigh skin.  The BodyTite does not give optimal results in wrinkly, crepe paper thighs like yours.  Therefore, I would propose a thigh reduction. During your thigh reduction, thigh liposuction would be performed, but the majority of the thigh reduction and thigh tightening would be achieved with the thigh reduction. The answer to this question depends upon your goals.  While the thigh lift is certainly effective in its removal of tissue and correcting issues of skin laxity and reducing size and circumference, the scar produced is often objectionable to many patients. The Bodytite technology can be used to avoid the longer scars associated with thigh lifts.  Bodytite can be used in conjunction with liposuction to tighten the tissues of the thighs by about 40%. Although Bodytite will never reproduce the excisional surgical results, optimal treatment by an expert in Bodytite can come pretty close. You would need to be evaluated in person by a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert in both procedures.

Hello,Like 'Smartlipo', the laser based liposuction machine from ten plus years ago that promised skin tightening, Bodytite and all the other gizmos do the same. They've got great names, but they don't deliver. If you truly have excess skin, Bodytite won't be anymore helpful than standard liposuction, and therefore won't eliminate the need for skin removal. 

While both are mean to treat laxity, these procedures are not interchangeable. It is not simply a choice between one or the other based on preference (if it were...very few would choose the more invasive option).The thighlift is the definitive/gold standard treatment for laxity in the thighs. It can be combined with liposuction to contour the thighs. While it is more effective, it is also relatively more invasive with a greater scar burden and longer recovery.BodyTite is an RF technology which induces an indirect tightening by heating. It is less invasive with a shorter recovery. Ultimately, results are more variable as your surgeon will deliver a certain amount of energy/heat. The response of the tissue to this energy will develop over the months to follow and will vary from patient to patient.With regards to your specific question, it is difficult to say for certain which procedure is best (without an in-person exam). Hello and thank you for your question. From the photos that you submitted, it looks like a formal thigh in conjunction with liposuction is needed. I cannot tell if a buttock lift with or without an augmentation is needed from the photos that you submitted. I don’t know much about bodytite other than to say that it’s probably good for very minor tightening but not for what I see on your photos.Peter Fisher M.DPost massive weight loss body contouring specialist
