Is it worth getting thigh and hip liposuction? Will I see a drastic difference? (Photo)

Thank you for your question about whether it’s worth getting hip and thigh liposuction and if you will see a drastic difference. Based on your description and your picture, I do not think you’ll see a “drastic difference,” even with aggressive liposuction of your hips and thighs. In your single picture, I don’t see a significant amount of excess fat that would significantly change with its removal via liposuction. Therefore, I would save your money. I do not think you will see a dramatic difference. If you are looking for a subtle difference, you may achieve this with liposuction, but a dramatic difference will likely not occur.

However, if you wanted liposuction of the flanks with a touch over the hips, that could give you a curvier figure (if you desire). I wish you the best of luck!

You may be a good candidate for thigh and hip liposuction, Knee liposuction would not be necessary to achieve the results you are indicating.

Based on your photographs, you do not have any skin laxity and should be a good candidate for liposuction of these areas . Thank you for your question and picture. Liposuction does a big difference in any area where it's done. If you get liposuction of your inner thighs, you'll have noticeable thinner thighs, same with any area you pick.

Patients usually want to get fat transferred to their buttocks and hips, it's not as common to have a patient request liposuction of the hips, which is probably why it'll be a little harder to find before and after pictures of liposuction in that area. You will easily find before and after pictures of liposuction done in the abdomen, back, waist, sides and flanks.

Based on this photo, you are a good candidate for selective liposuction. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, with good reputation in liposuction/body contyouring, will give you oportunity to discuss benefits and risk of this procedure in your case. Good luck.

You’re correct in your observation that there is less chatter regarding thigh lipo. This area requires more a stringent selection process and a more conservative surgical approach. The overlying skin and underlying connective tissue needs to have reasonable integrity to be able to “shrink” around the new smaller volume after the fat is removed. The goal is to not make the area look worse and that can be tricky. So to be aesthetically safe, the approach is conservative fat removal. This leads to more subtle results. In your case, it appears that you’re a good candidate for inner thigh liposculpting, possibly outer thighs as well. We can determine things during a virtual consult.

Since you are not drastically overweight, you will not see a "drastic" difference. The difference you should see, however, should be very noticeable and leave you will a nice contour.
