Thickening/hardening of Nose Cartilage?

August 12, 2012
Asked By:tcpdx

For 2 years, I've had an area on the end of my nose where the cartilage is thicker/harder than the rest of my nose. It started as a small, round spot, and this area is gradually getting larger. Now it's spreading across the right side, and the end of my nose. The skin looks normal - the change is under the skin, and seems to be within the cartilage itself. I've seen a bunch of docs (3 ENTs, derm, rheum). No diagnosis. Help! BTW this started after severe sinus problems/infections due to mold
