There are tw: round and anatomical (or "teardrop") shaped. Round implants have a more circular shape and anatomical are in the shape of a teardrop.

Implants either are round or oval.  This refers to the base of the implant, ie what it looks like from the front.  Implants can also be round or tear drop shaped.  This refers to what the implant looks like from the side.  Within these shapes, implants can have low projection, moderate projection or high projection, ie how far forward the implant projects, to satisfy patients wishes for more or less projection of their breasts.  The implants also come with smooth walls or textured walls.  With so many options, I urge you to have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss this in detail.

The base or footprint of the implant can be either round or elliptical.  The profile of the implant can have the point of maximum projection in the center of the implant or toward the bottom of the implant (giving more volume at the bottom of the implant).  Then all of these come in different projections.  A board certified plastic surgeon (member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons) can discuss this with you in detail and how the implant shapes would benefit you, at your consultation.
