I am taking isotretinoin from last 1 month but still my face is little bit oily & have red spot & some pipmles.can I take co2 fractional on oily skin.will that work.
Answer: CO2 can help resurface the skin and heal damaged skin barrier. Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Oily Skin and Co2--try fraxel, microneedling/prp, radiofrequency, sculptra, skin care, Cosmelan Yes, you can have Co2 with oily skin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Typically I recommend adding clear and brilliant, fraxel, viva 4-6 weeks after co2 to improve this along with microneedling/prp to get the best outcomes with texture and tone. Please see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: CO2 resurfacing for oily skin From your question, the most important next step is to have a consultation with an experienced cosmetic surgeon/physician. CO2 laser resurfacing can definitely be done on patients with oily skin, normal skin, or dry skin. However, I recommend that you look at what you want to treat and then get the recommendation for the best device to use. For instance, you SHOULD NOT do a CO2 laser treatment when you are on isotretinoin!!!

Answer: UPATE- Co2 and isotretinoin. Recent articles published in JAMA 28th June 2017 and Derm Surgery have revised the recommendations of FRACTIONAL not fully ablative CO2 lasers and isotretinoin. I suggest seeing a dermatologist who is up to date with the US guidelines. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
