This is a great question, especially with so many options out there. I would recommend a series of Elos Skin Rejuvination (SR) which is more than just an IPL. Elos SR uses combined bi-polar radiofrequency along with intrapulsed light for enhanced energy to precisely target brown age spots, rosacea and spider veins. Then after that treatment you could combine microneedling and PRP to create new collagen and elastin.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

When evaluating chest Rejuvenation, one needs to determine if there are vascular changes, pigmented changes as well as loss of elasticity and collagen. Most often all three exist. The IPL has the ability to treat all three and therefore is a good place to start. Often the vascular lasers and fractionated lasers need to be added. We have also gotten good results for wrinkles and elastotic changes on the chest with the infini RF.
Hi Melski; this is an excellent question. You appear to have skin that demonstrates thinning, and appears red due to prominent blood vessels, brown spots, and increased pore size. I suggest a treatment plan that includes IPL and CO2 or Fraxel laser treatments, supported by a comprehensive pre and post skin care program. I prefer CO2 laser because of the wide range of settings and its ability to address a variety of skin conditions and types. That said, there are many excellent physicians who prefer Fraxel. Prior to starting laser treatment, a skin care program that addresses your skin needs is essential. Well prepared skin will provide optimal results, quicker recovery, and safer healing. Start with IPL (BBL) to help primarily with the red and brown spots. IPL will also help to a lesser degree with tone and texture. Consider 4 treatments, 2 weeks apart, and once yearly for maintenance. One CO2 laser treatment will give amazing results, improving pigment, tone, and texture. Post treatment application of growth factors is an essential part of fractionated ablative treatments. CO2 on its own will not address your redness. It's important to remember that CO2 treatments of the neck should be reserved for experts, and that you be prepared for recovery time associated with your CO2 treatment. After the initial healing phase, it is common to remain red for a month. It is essential to carry on with daily use of sun screen and a medical grade skin care program. This will help to keep your skin healthy and maintain results. If recovery time with CO2 is a concern, consider ablative radio frequency laser and non ablative fractional laser instead. These require more treatments with less impressive results, but minimal recovery time. Best results will come from having a personalized, long-term treatment plan with an experienced physician. I appreciate the opportunity to answer good questions such as yours and wish you well in your researching endeavors!
Its not the laser or the device, its the skill sets of the specialist. Many solutions to the same problem. In good hands even a TCA peel can treat your concerns, feathering out the margins with a buffer method. Chest rejuvenation can be approached with BBL, Fractional lasers, HIFU, dermal fillers, and even peels. The MOST IMPORTANT aspect of chest rejuvenation is to blend in the treated areas. Go to a specialist who has a good reputation and many devices, rather than limiting your choices to only one or two. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
