Hello zallasromi, Congratulations on your recent High-Definition VASER liposuction! Every patient is unique and surgeons have different post-operative protocols, customized for every patient. I typically recommend my patients wearing specialized compression garments 24 a day, during six months to reduce swelling and help their skin contract smoothly to their new body’s contours. Properly wearing a high-quality compression garment positively impact the final outcome. If you choose not to wear your garment, even the best plastic surgeon can’t give you perfect results. Best regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
Thanks for the question.Every doctor has their own set of rules, so it is always best to follow your surgeon's instructions. In general, garments are worn for 4-6 weeks after liposuction. The garment helps the skin shrink back and keeps the swelling in check.Again, make a quick call to your plastic surgeon's office and get their instructions.Good Luck!
I like to have my post Vaser patients in a compression garment for 4 weeks. Some docs go anywhere from 2-6 weeks. We like to order 2 garments the second one given 2 weeks later that is smaller so as to shrink the skin as much as possible. All our clients go for lymphatic massage also after Vaser. Hope this was helpful to you. JB
hello zallasromi We will generally have our patients use a variety of compression garments while they heal. More specific body sculpting or hi-definition treatments may require more specific compression to obtain the best result. Your plastic surgeon should tell you how long you should have it on. #abdomen #back
For high def cases I recommend a min of 4-6 weeks post procedure. Each doctor is different so i suggest that you ask the doc who performed your procedure what his/her protocol is.
In my practice I recommend wearing a Vaser 4D Padded Vest underneath your compression garment for 4 weeks, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It is best to have 2-3 of these sets of garments to allow them to be washed each day and air dried. After 4 weeks, I then recommend removing the padded vest, and wear the garment for 12 hours a day minimum. After another 4 weeks you can wear the garment for comfort.
