Not a good idea!!However, I doubt that you actually scarred your skin, more probably just inflamed and irritated it.You can get 1% Hydrocortisone over the counter and it should,within a day or two solve the problem.Meanwhile, don't wax again until you are done with the treatment.
First, you should NOT wax while on Accutane. You can use OTC hydrocortisone on the red areas. But in the future, don't wax while taking Accutane - it's not advisable! I agree with the previous answer that sometimes patients need a longer course of Accutane. And I also have seen patients who have not gotten real clearing until the last month.Discuss this with your practitioner and let them know your feelings.
Please do not do either while on accutane, and if you do, please stop the medication for the time you are doing it. Both can increase your skin of liver issues and sun burn/sensitivity. Best, Dr. Emer.
