sometimes certain individual need longer amounts , i have had patients on isotretinoin for 12 months or longer.  Studies show that longer cycles of treatment give less rebound later.  I suggest speaking to your physician.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I agree with the previous answer that sometimes patients need a longer course of Accutane.  And I also have seen patients who have not gotten real clearing until the last month.Discuss this with your practitioner and let them know your feelings.
