My suggestion is to see your injector as soon as possible to resolve this issue.  It could be that you are swollen and this can be treated.  However, if the area has pain or lumps, it should be reversed..  Best, Dr. Emer.

What you are experiencing is not totally uncommon following Juvederm Ultra Plus to the lips. This HA filler does cause swelling as they all do and perhaps a little more. What is worrisome is you had a lot of material in the upper lip, and it appears that there are some lumps on the bottom which we also do not want to see.Injecting with fillers is an art, and there are many skilled people out there and many who are just going through the motions, which may have been the case here. We always recommend going to a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and having injections by them or by one of their skilled people. Post-opertive instructions should be always given, including the use of ice and massage, and if you have any questions or concerns, who to speak to in the office where you were injected. Go to the right provider – enjoy the results.

Best to return to see the injecting doctor ASAP with ALL your complaints. For now use ice compresses, ask for oral steroid pills and massage training. Most likely ALL these issues will self correct over the next few weeks.... 

Several things are wrong with the lips. The upper lip should be smaller than the lower lip and right now, it is almost twice the size. Bumps can occur, but should be small and should go away with massage. They also look like they have lost all their anatomic landmarks. I don't think it's too early to use hyaluronidase and then go to a different provider. They don't understand the proper anatomy of lips. 

Hang in there for a few more days.  The swelling and bumps usually resolve within a week.  If not, return to your physician.  The upper lip to lower lip golden ratio should be 1:1.618.  Meaning the lower vermilion should be slightly fuller than the upper.  If it isn't, then the result may look less natural.

It is normal to swell, sometimes significantly for days after a lip injection of Juvederm and most other hyaluronic acid fillers as they initially attract water.  This swelling effect is most notable for the lips.  Please give this several weeks to both see a loss of swelling and to allow the product to integrate.  At three days post injection, it is also possible to smooth the effects somewhat with massage to any lumpy areas.  This is best performed by your doctor.  Small lumps at two weeks may also resolve by waiting another several weeks.The lip enhancement is not permanent either and will slowly resolve.  In extreme cases, after waiting a month or so, if a visible or troublesome lump remains, the physician can attempt to dissolve it with hyaluronidase injections.

It can take up to two weeks for any bruising or swelling to resolve after Juvederm Ultra Plus injections.  If you had more Juvederm injected into your upper lip than your lower, it will attract more water and be puffier. Please return to your injector soon to see if he needs to massage your lower lip.  If you are still unhappy with the result after two weeks, return again for assessment.  Your lips will return to their previous state when the Juvederm is gone.

Give it some more time. You still may have some swelling. Usually after a filler goes away your lip should go back to the way it was before your injection and not necessarily "sag" especially if you have good skin quality. The holes maybe injection sites. Give it some more time. If you still are unhappy or the holes progress instead of start to resolve see your injector. Its good to be in touch with them anyway if you feel something is not feeling right. The person who does your procedure should be best able to address your concerns. Be positive.Hope this helps.
