I had 1 Juvederm lip injection 3 days ago. My upper lip is twice bigger than my lower lip +I have 3 bumps bellow my bottom lip 2 of them creating a hole in the oral commissures. Lot of my swelling has resolved but not the bumps. The Philtrum looks "puffed" or oversized making me look freakish and my upper lip "hangs"over my bottom lip. I am stressed out +depressed thinking that my skin/lips will sag when Juvederm is gone in a year. Can this happen? Meanwhile the duck look + bumps will disappear?

Answer: You Can Get Juvederm Dissolved What you are experiencing is not totally uncommon following Juvederm Ultra Plus to the lips. This HA filler does cause swelling as they all do and perhaps a little more. What is worrisome is you had a lot of material in the upper lip, and it appears that there are some lumps on the bottom which we also do not want to see.Injecting with fillers is an art, and there are many skilled people out there and many who are just going through the motions, which may have been the case here. We always recommend going to a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and having injections by them or by one of their skilled people. Post-opertive instructions should be always given, including the use of ice and massage, and if you have any questions or concerns, who to speak to in the office where you were injected. Go to the right provider – enjoy the results.

Answer: Juvederm issues! Best to return to see the injecting doctor ASAP with ALL your complaints. For now use ice compresses, ask for oral steroid pills and massage training. Most likely ALL these issues will self correct over the next few weeks....
