follow up with your doctor who did the injections to make sure the filler is not compromising any blood vessels in the area. you might have to have that side dissolved and then get it injected again.

Yes. This is possible. If you have ALOT of swelling it is most likely due to a hematoma either from the dental block or from the filler injection. It sounds like you probably have developed a hematoma in the cheek.  This is bleeding below the surface of the skin and can cause the things you describe.  You should visit with your doctor to have this evaluated.  If it is indeed a hematoma, it can typically be treated easily.  Best regards.

I would go and see your doctor about this. You could have a hematoma or other atypical swelling.  Sometimes steroids can help with swelling.

Board-certified dermatologists and plastic surgeons are the best at identifying a potential problem and realizing the most appropriate way to take care of the problem. The first thing you should do in your situation is to call your provider who, if he or she is "on board,"will have you come into the office for an evaluation. That to me is the most appropriate course to take.What you are describing can be related to a hematoma, which is a localized collection of blood, but vessel occlusion, or blockage, needs to be evaluated and dealt with pretty quickly, and this can only be done in person. From your description, it sounds like you may have a hematoma from the dental block.  This is likely the reason for a crooked smile (which will most likely be temporary).  You should see you doctor right away and have him/her examine you to determine if anything needs to be done.

Anytime injections are performed, be it local anesthetic or filler, swelling can occur. Because it is only on one side of your face it is unlikely to be a reaction to the product injected and is likely to be secondary to a localized hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin) caused by either injection. You should return to your injector for evaluation. If it is a hematoma then this will resolve over time. Cold compresses (15 minutes on and off) as well as Arnica Montana supplements may help this resolve more quickly. If you notice considerable bruising on one side, BBL treatments may also help the bruise resolve more quickly.
