Do you have the same amount of Botox injected every time?

Once the pattern and amount of Botox has been established (which works for your cosmetic desires), you should not have to adjust the dosing each time. Sometimes patients will need a slight touch up dose of 5 units, for instance. But for the most part, the dosing should be pretty consistent.

If you were happy with the results of the previous dose, please continue to treat at that dose. If you do a smaller amount your treatment wont last the full 3-4 months. It's best to stay consistent with the dose you're happy with.

Hi, it would be necessary to see your photos and assess how much muscle function has returned. Sometimes product lasts longer in some patients than others, depends on metabolism and individual anatomy. Also depends on the exact product used, Botox versus dysport versus Jeuveau versus Xeomin. See an experienced injector for best results. 

typically if you liked the results, the same amount is what would be needed. The amount of Botox injected can vary, depending on the areas treated and with each patient.  Botox results may last a bit longer than 4 months, but results may be shorter for others.  Since your last treatment was 4 months ago, I would recommend using the same amount if you had it treated now since you liked the results you had.  If you use less now, your results may not last as long.  

When the result of your Botox diminishes- it is all diminishing. You will be going in for another treratment - not a "touch up"  you PS Will certainly guide you as to the correct amounts, but if you do not do enough you will not see the same result again.Best wishes.

Hello, thank you for your question. Not every patient requires the same amount of Botox every treatment. I recommend going with a smaller amount to begin and then scheduling a follow up two weeks later to see how the muscle reacts. At that time you can add more Botox if you prefer a more dramatic result.

Since you are liking the look of your results I would recommend getting the same number of units injected at your next appointment. As you continue to get Botox your injector will be able to recommend dosage increases/decreases. Make sure you are seeing a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for your injections.

If you liked the 36 units that you got, you should stick with that dose and get it every 3-4 months. You don't want your botox to completely wear off before returning for more. The whole goal of botox is to weaken the muscle to stop reinforcing wrinkles so you don't want to recreate all of the damage that was being smoothed out over the last 3-4 months. If you decrease your dose, it may not last you the fuller 3-4 months as it should. Hope this helps!
