I had my rhinoplasty 2 years ago to correct a dorsal hump. Around 6 months ago I've noticed a bump on the bridge of my nose that wasn't there for the first year + following my surgery. I have recently lost about 20 pounds but other than that there have been no other health changes. Do I have to go through another rhinoplasty to have this fixed? And if so, will the bump keep returning? The surgeon that performed the surgery has retired.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question after 6 months the swelling will be stay permanent and I recommend you revision rhinoplasty. It would be better face to face consultation.Best regards!

Answer: It is easily fixable Hi from Istanbul! The bump you've observed post-rhinoplasty might be a result of a reaction of the thin layer of tissue on the bone, called periosteal reaction. Or it could be related to the nasal tip dropping more than initially planned, which would also cause an appearance like this. In either situation, addressing the minor hump is possible through a quick intervention. It can be rasped safely and effectively eliminate the bump, and this procedure can be performed by any skilled and well-trained plastic surgeon or ENT surgeon. Hope this helps!

Answer: Rhinoplasty Sometimes that will show up after all the swelling goes down. You could have the bridge shaved down in a revision but overall it’s actually a pretty good job. The other option is to try fillers to hide the high spot

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Good morning!Based on the photos, it looks like there is more of a saddle in your supratip area, rather than a recurrence of the dorsal hump. While we generally accept that 1 year post op, the nose is relatively stable, there can still be changes that occur beyond the 1 year mark. The decision to undergo another rhinoplasty is entirely dependent on you. There is a possibility that the saddle can worsen, or it may have stabilized. If no functional issues, a simple graft can be placed there for camouflage or an experienced injector can place filler in that area (not my preference, but an option). if functional issues/concerns, it might take more of a reconstructive surgery to improve. Best of luck!

Answer: Depends It depends on what this bump is due to. If it is scar tissue, then possibly doing some injections with steroid to this area could help shrink it down. If it is actually due to a residual hump in the bone or cartilage, then unfortunately yes you would need another surgery to try to reduce this. This is not something that should be returning over and over again but likely was either not adequately reduced the first time around but it was hidden because of the swelling.
