Using retinoid & a vitamin C serum on the rest of my face (avoiding the nose) after rhinoplasty?

Hi there, I’m going to be having a rhinoplasty very soon. I’m aware that skincare directly applied to the nose should be avoided until the cast is removed. However, I want to know whether it’s safe to use skincare on the rest of my face as normal after my surgery. I use Adapalene (a form of retinoid) and a vitamin C serum. Will using these on the rest of my face (making sure that I avoid my nose completely) have any negative impact on the recovery of my nose?

There should not be any problem using those topicals on the rest of your face, from my perspective, although I would always clear it with your surgeon before making decisions based off what you read online. Good luck!

It’s not considered appropriate for other surgeons to give advice regarding postoperative care. For that reason, the question is better addressed to your provider.
There does not sound like an inherent contra indication but again this question is better answered by your provider.
