The short answer is no. Minoxidil and finasteride work on the native hairs of the scalp slowing down the progression of hair loss and strenghtening hairs. Hair transplants are used to move the permanent hairs from the sides and back of the head to refill areas that have thinned out. So, we are talking about 2 different populations of hairs: the native hairs that are thinning and will continue to thin without treatment with medications, and the transplanted hairs that are going to keep growing because they are genetically different.
Yes, discontinuing Minoxidil treatment may lead to the gradual loss of newly grown hair. It's important to use Minoxidil consistently to maintain its effectiveness in promoting hair growth. If you're considering stopping the treatment, there are other treatments that may help such as low level laser or diodes, antiandrogens, prostaglandin blockers, nutraceuticals, massage and PRP. Hello, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, hair from Minoxidil cannot be used as permanent hair via a transplant. Hair growth with Minoxidil must be maintained by continued use. I hope this helps answer your questions.Dr, T

The best way to control removal of just a few grafts from the hairline with minimal scarring is to pluck the grafts out with tweezers. After a few rounds of plucking/regrowth/plucking then the hairs will stop growing through. Laser is harder to target for removal of just a few select grafts....
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) involves removing individual hair follicles from a donor area and transplanting them to another area. The extracted hair grafts are typically permanent in the recipient site and should continue to grow. If you choose to have a few hair grafts removed from your...
In most cases, the presence of visible veins on the forehead should not pose a significant issue for a hair transplant procedure. Here's why: 1. Different Areas: Hair transplants typically involve the scalp rather than the forehead itself. The veins on your forehead are separate from the blood...
It is possible for previously transplanted hair grafts to be removed and placed in a different area, to correct the mistakes. However, I do not recommend this option because it may lead to a less natural-looking hairline and further scaring.
