I am 23 years old and of Latin descent, struggled with dark circles, hallow under eyes and puffiness, my whole life. I am very active and have a pretty solid skin care routine, currently using and love Kiehls products combined with my Clarisonic. Not sure if Injection is my best option, thank you!
Answer: Brightening the under eyes From your photos, it doesn't appear that your infraorbital rim is too sunken or depressed. Your shadows are minimal and you can opt for filler injections to improve those areas if you'd like. You seem a little more sunken laterally than you do in the inner eye. For fillers, I personally like Restylane Defyne for it's XpresHans technology that allows it to flex in a natural manner with facial expressions. For under eye darkness, I would suggest a short series of PRP injections every 1-2 months for a few treatments total. PRP will add temporary volume and swelling to the under eyes which will reside in about 3 days to one week depending on the amount injected. Many of my patients have seen improvements to their dark under eyes with PRP injections and some have even mixed their PRP with filler for both brightening skin and long term shadow correction. Regardless, I strongly suggest that you seek in-person consultation with an experienced Facial Plastics physician injector who has thorough understanding of face anatomy.Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Tear Trough PRP injections Hi @sierrarflores13. I recommend PRP injections. PRP which stands for Platelet Rich Plasma is a natural and non-surgical solution to treat under eye circles and bags. PRP is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes. Generally, two vials of blood will be collected from the patient and placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins and separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components. The plasma contains the valuable collagen and growth factors from the rest of the blood's components. The plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and injected in the tear trough area. Typically, 3-6 sessions is adequate for optimal results. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2/Renuvion); Microneedling/PRP; Peels Hi Sierra, there are many things you can do to treat under eye bags, hollows, and dark circles, but a combination approach will give the most improvement. Non-invasive, less-downtime options such as fillers (like Belotero), lasers, microneedling/PRP, Cosmelan peels and stem cells can all help give some improvement. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Restylane or PRP for dirk circles and hollowness, puffiness under the eye? I would not use restylane under the eye. You may benefit from a filler like belotero.PRP is also an option for long term results

Answer: Dark Circles Thank you for your message! Based off of your pictures, it appears you would be a candidate for both undereye filler and PRP! Typically a combination approach is best when it comes to dark circles under the eye. That being said, because you have darker skin tones, we have to be very careful as to not cause any hyperpigmentation. Some offices, such as ours, require skin preparation prior to microneedling treatments to help ward off the risk of hyperpigmentation. Our office typically uses Volbella for under the eye!
