I live in London and had a consultation with a Dr who created the Dracula treatment. I am unsure how it is different from any other PRP injection but I was told that only 1 injection will be required every 8 months and that it will resolve the issue with the fine lines under the eyes. Before I commit, I would like to know whether PRP injections are effective as a stand alone treatment for my concerns that is not resolved by the regular botox treatments. Thank you. Sophia
Answer: Under Eye Crepey Skin I'm not entirely sure what the doctor's 'Dracula' treatment is, but regardless, I don't think PRP is going to be the bang for your buck treatment for crepey skin. PRP stimulates skin collagen but isn't really a "surface skin" treatment. Most of my patients who receive PRP in the under eyes find it to be better for volumizing and skin brightening effects. You are a great candidate for a TCA Peel for the under eyes or you could consider a CO2 resurfacing laser treatment. For my patients that struggle with crepey skin, sometimes we will do a CO2 laser treatment first, and then a TCA peel 6 months later. These types of treatments work well in combination or separately on their own. I strongly advise that you see an experienced Facial Plastics or Skin Aesthetics office that offers a variety of treatments. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: For crepey skin under the eyes it is recommended to do CO2 laser to help tighten the skin. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Under eye skin wrinkles I am not sure what the "Dracula" treatment is, but maybe just a local docotr's spin off of the Vampire, which is a registered trademark a doctor needs to pay for to use in advertising. Anyway, I have found PRP injections quite successful for treating under the eye wrinkles as well as dark circles. You could couple injections just lateral to the edge of your eye with a PRP facial that would help with tightening as well. Good luck!

Answer: Prp for crepey skin Yes, PRP can work great for this area. I like to use Prp in conjunction with Halo (hybrid fractional laser) or Contour TRL (full field laser resurfacing) for this area since these lasers can help remove old collagen to facilitate the transformation into new collagen.
