Would I be a candidate for a weight loss surgery?

In order to correctly determine if you would be eligible for bariatric surgery you would need to be evaluated by a certified bariatric surgeon who would take into accound your BMI and other factors. BMI is calculated using your height and weight. It is also worth noticing that your decrease in energy and stomach pain may be due to other issues, which is why a proper evaluationn is warranted.

Hi Laceytx,Congratulations on your amazing weight-loss.  I think you could very well be a candidate for weight-loss surgery.  Whether insurance pays for the procedure depends on what your current BMI is as well as whether you have documentation of periods with a higher BMI in your doctors records.  What's more concerning to me is why you are having pain recently in your abdomen when working out.  That could be a sign of a hernia.  Getting that fixed could help you to resume pain-free workouts and help you preserve the weight loss you have achieved thus far. Since many weight-loss surgeons also fix hernias, I recommend you make an appointment with one and get checked out.
