Dr. Walton completely understands what overweight people contend with their entire life. All our struggles, failures, feelings along with other medical issues, etc. Dr. Walton is a very kind & gentle soul, never judgementle or assuming. He takes the time needed with all his patience, never flies in & out of the room like most drs we have become accustomed to. He is an excellent & talented dr that I highly recommend. There is not enough space here for me to carry on about Dr Walton, but you get the idea. If you’re lucky enough to have found Dr W, you already know.
After being overweight my entire life. And considering surgery gor many years, I decided yo do it. My only regret, not doing it years ago. Dr. Walton and his program have encouraged me, supported me, challenged me, and helped chamge me. My pre-surgery weight of 360 pounds. Currently, I weigh 181 pounds, in10 months!! WeightWise has helped chamge my life for ever.
After 40 years weighing 400+ pounds, life was horrible. In my first meeting with Dr. Walton, he set my fears at ease and encouraged me to push on and regain my life. In the years since, I have done things that very few people in the world will ever do. Not only an amazing surgeon, but an amazing man!
Im 5'2" 220 pounds. Ive been over weight most of my life and im tired of being fat and watching my life pass me by. I have tried countless diets and program but nothing seems to last. I have my first consult apt for gastric sleeve surgery this thursday. I was wondering if anyone has had this procedure that has BCBS of Oklahoma insurance. I want to know if they cover this procedure and what their requirements are etc.
If you have had no weight loss success by other means, surgery is really the only option. Your stated past medical history does not exclude you from bariatric surgery. Rather your functional status is the most determining factor for eligibility of gastric operations. Meaning- your heart and lungs have to able to tolerate the operation and recovery. Based on height, weight, age and diseases related to obesity, you would be a good candidate for the sleeve gastrectomy or the gastric bypass.
Yes. To get your bowels to move laxatives are fine pre-op. If you are utilizing a laxative to the point of diarrhea that is not ideal before operation.
