3 yrs post op gastric bypass and I can't stop losing weight. Will I ever stop losing weight?

Question

for the past year I've had a diet which I thought Ok.I still can only eat about 4-7 ounces of food depending on what I'm eating. I went to my doctor and found out I lost another 15 pounds. Will I ever stop losing weight? I do not want to be any thinner than I am. You can see my ribs and hip bones and I look to thin. Any recommendations ? Weight gainer ? Increased caloric drink ?

Your situation is unusual. Weight loss after bypass stabilizes 2 years after surgery. You may be suffering from malabsorption. Do u have diarrhea? You need to be evaluated by a Bariatric surgeon and need to start nutrient and vitamin supplementation asap

Something is fishy here.  I suspect that you didn't have a simple gastric bypass, as this operation rarely; nay, never leads to too much weight loss.  Perhaps you had a duodenal switch?   Or a very long-limb gastric bypass?  Or a mini-gastric bypass?  See your surgeon.  Or get a copy of your operative report and see another surgeon.  You may need to have a revision.
