Bumped my head on a door handle 7 weeks after hair transplant on my crown area?

Question

Hi, I mistakingly bumped my head on the bathroom door handle. It started to bleed a little bit so I washed it with a special shampoo they gave me, and now it stopped. I am not sure if I damaged grafts, or the blood was a result of the door handle hitting a pimple I had there precisely (My scalp develops pimples from time to time, since the surgery). Do you think that after 7 weeks, It could damage a follicle?

If your trauma to your scalp was was significant enough to cause normal hairs fall then it probably affected your transplanted grafts.

Hi Chongmet, thank you for your question. I would be more
concerned if it was 7 minutes after your procedure. I highly doubt you would
have damaged a follicle. Even though I'm sure it hurt, there could have been
bleeding after this event even if you didn't have a hair transplant. If you see
anything changing, my advice would be to visit your doctor.

By seven weeks you are no more likely to damage a graft from a bump on the head than you are to damage your native hair follicles.  I wouldn't be overly concerned.

I doubt that you did any damage because by this time the new grafts have taken root and can't really be damaged by even a hard bump
