Hey people, I have always had dark under eyes, slightly puffy. But more lately im thinking about it more often, I know for a fact i've puffy eyes but maybe I'm making them out worse than what they are? I've done the teabag treatment a handful of times and the spoon treatment occassionally, but no change (that I notice anyways.) In the photo there is Before teabags (top left), After teabags (Top right) and the morning after (Bottom left.) The bottom right is a photo with no lights on around me, just light coming through my kitchen window. I've noticed if I stand under a light there's a contrast and makes my eyes look a bit more saggy ( Every photo apart from the 2 bottom right are under a light.) I'm not sure if this is true, It just when I stand under my bathroom light looking in the mirror they seem worse, I read it on one website, not a whole lot written about it. Is this true or am I making excuses for myself? Lol Also, could use please tell me about what use think about the bags. I am 20 years old, are they bad, ifso how bad? If use can tell me more about the teabag treatment that would be helpful. I'm doing it properly, maybe I just need to do it daily, but I hear you can see results straight after?

Answer: At least in these photos, your dark circles do not appear that significant.
Your picture shows asymmetry due to the slight ptosis of the left upper lid. This can be corrected, but should be done by a surgeon who is familiar with ptosis repair. You may nee to have both eyes done to prevent asymmetry after left side repair
You will be best off communicating with your plastic surgeon's office directly; the advice you receive online may not be exactly what your plastic surgeon will recommend. In other words, best to follow your plastic surgeon's preoperative/postoperative instructions specifically. Best wishes...
An upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can be used to create a upper lid crease on the right side, and improve the symmetry between your left and right upper lid. If you are not ready to pursue surgery, temporary measures such as eyelid tape or glue can be used to create a crease daily.
