I'm 42 weigh 170 and I'm 5' 5", no kids, skin pretty tight and I drink collagen daily. I had lipo 360 a year ago and I was left with lumpiness and slightly loose skin. Will Renuvion or another technique get rid of this and smooth the lumps while tightening my skin back to how it was pre-lipo? I've done 5 sessions of cavitation and didn't notice a difference. Thanks!

Answer: Correct and poorly done Liposuction Liposuction results are permanent and more or less irreversible. Further Liposuction with Renuvion is more likely going to make things worse rather than better. Your first surgeon was overly aggressive and left you with an uneven fat distribution. There is no treatment that can restore this to a normal looking abdomen. Treatments should be based on what the primary underlying ideology is. In your case it’s an overall lack of subcutaneous fat that is also very uneven. Renuvion will not deliver enough skin tightening for you to notice a difference. I’ve used a device for a four year and neither Iowa nor any of my patients noticed any subjective or objective skin tightening whatsoever. The device is in my opinion based primarily on wishful thinking.I cannot emphasize enough the importance of vetting plastic surgeons before having permanent and irreversible procedures like liposuction. A substantial number of board-certified plastic surgeons with overall good reputations do not know how to do the procedure very well. Before having this or any procedure patients should vet providers I have a multiple in person consultations at which time they should ask each provider to open up your portfolio and show their entire collection of before and after pictures. Being shown a handful of sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of the career is totally insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like. As providers to show examples and excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. I recommend all patients as providers to review their revision policy and ask what the revision rate is. Asked to see pictures of patients who needed revisions. For a vision work the process is more or less the same but they simply are no good treatments to correct your current situation. Potential options would be revision liposuction, fat transfer or converting the procedure to a skin tightening operation like a full tummy tuck. None of those are great options in your case but could potentially give some improvements depending on what you’re looking to achieve. Restoring your abdomen to pre-liposuction is not possible. I’m sorry this happened to you. I would encourage you to ask your provider for a refund and consider writing some reviews about your experience and various physician review websites.
