Is a swollen lymph node behind the ear in the neck area normal after non invasive laser lipo?

Thank you for your question. A swollen lymph node can occur as a result of the liposuction. It can also be due to other causes. I suggest seek evaluation by your physician if the swelling does not resolve.

A swollen node could be related to the surgery but it could be secondary to other issues. I would certainly show this to your surgeon. Thanks

Liposuction involving the face and neck will result in a degree of inflammation, which in addition to swelling, may be manifested by swollen lymph nodes near the area of treatment. Thie should abate within several weeks or so. Persistence beyond 6 weeks warrants investigation.

Good question!Yes, post op Liposuction to the neck can cause some secondary swelling that can last for a few weeks.Main healing happens over the first 6-8 weeks, but you will probably look fabulous prior to that, in the right hands.Best. Dr Brecht
