I know I am very early, and need to give it time, but I did not see anything like this online before. My right side is a lot higher than my left side and they look so much different as far as the shape. The difference is crazy and neither side looks good( I did work out a lot before the surgery and have strong muscles. Can it be the reason why?
Answer: Breast asymmetry after surgery At nine days after surgery, there is still a lot of swelling and the implants have not settled into place. Some degree of asymmetry is also to be expected. That said, your photos show much greater asymmetry than is typical I would be concerned about either a collection of blood(hematoma), or fluid (seroma). I would recommend having your surgeon evaluate you as soon as possible.

Answer: Swelling after breast augmentation Thanks for the photos. They really help a lot. Yes, your swelling and shape is normal after nine days from a breast augmentation. It always takes at least six weeks for the skin and muscle to soften up and the implants to settle. Every patient goes through this process. Also, remember that one side can drop quicker than the other side. The differences you are seeing are probably due to the differences you had before surgery. Your right breast was higher and tighter than your left breast, so it is not unexpected that you are finding the same shape immediately after surgery. The good news is that your breasts are going to change dramatically over the initial six week period. Looking at your photo, you should get a nice result. For now, follow your plastic surgeon's advice regarding massaging and breast straps. Patience will benefit you. Good Luck!

Answer: Normal healing after breast augmentation I think it is important for you to see your plastic surgeon soon. This is definitely more asymmetry than I would expect postoperatively. I would your plastic surgeon check it out.

Answer: Post op breast augmentation Hi there and thanks for your question and photos! I always tell my patients that your breasts will be high, hard, and ugly right after a breast augmentation. It takes a few weeks to a few months for the implants to settle. Sometimes they settle at different rates and one may take longer than the other to drop. I recommend seeing your plastic surgeon for a routine follow up. Best of luck!

Answer: Common for breasts to "drop" at different intervals Thank you for your question. It's common for breasts to "drop" at different intervals- ask your PS about wearing a band to help settle the other breast more quickly.
