I am 8 weeks post op, and I just got sized at VS. I understand that my breasts haven’t fully settled or as they say ‘dropped and fluffed.’ Will there be any more change in the volume? Will my size change over time? Or just a change in shape as my pectoral muscle relaxes and accommodates for my implants. Appreciate your input! Thank you so much!
Answer: Cup size change after breast augmentation I think it is usually pretty safe to go and buy new bras about three weeks after your operation. As you suggest, the volume and cup size will stay very similar, although the shape often changes to give you a more natural result. I haven't found that the shape change itself really changes cup size, no matter how it's measured.

Answer: Cup size change and augmentation For many patients it may take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months for their submuscular implants to fully settle. During the settling process it may be difficult to get an accurate assessment of your true cup size. Above muscle implants typically require very little settling and therefore bra sizing can be accomplished much more quickly. Many of my patients shop at Victoria's Secret. However I have found their bra sizing is incredibly inaccurate and tends to overestimate patients cup size. I would recommend that you allow your implants to fully settle before getting an accurate assessment of your true cup size. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: BA results Dear J.19,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 8 weeks post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Will my cup size change over time? If you are 8 weeks post-op, your volume shouldn't change. Your shape still may change to a minor degree as the muscle relaxes. Good luck!

Answer: Will my cup size change over time? Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Keep in mind, that cup sizes will vary from one manufacturer to another; at this point in your recovery, I would not expect significant cup size changes to occur. Having said that, many of my patients report that as the swelling around the breast implants (for example, in the sternal area) decreases, they feel that their breasts appear more projecting. Also, in my opinion, the "drop and fluff” phenomenon does hold some validity; as breast implants “settle”, many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with longer-term.
